National Diploma Result(for HND Applicants Only) However for PART TIME programmes, candidates are expected to have a minimum of 24months Post ND industrial experience. C. 1-Year Pre-National Diploma Programmes Agricultural Technology Entry Requirements D. 2-Year National Diploma Programmes Details of the entry requirements of the 2-Year National Diploma Programmes are as listed in the JAMB/PCE Brochure. Candidates should please note that Certificates issued by Standard Association Examination Board (SAEB) are NOT acceptable for admission into the programmes of the Polytechnic.
2-Year Higher National Programmes 1. Candidates are required to satisfy SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB entry requirement for the corresponding National Diploma programme. 2. Candidates are required to have completed a relevant National Diploma Programme at not below LOWER CREDIT classification. Candidates should please NOTE that other Diplomas apart from the National Diploma (ND) are NOT acceptable for admission into the Polytechnic for Higher National Diploma (HND). 3. Candidates into HND programmes are required to have at least one-year post industrial work experience. 4. Candidates are required to forward photocopies of credentials to the Registry at Ikorodu Campus for screening and clearance respectively upon submission of application form on-line. 1-Year National Diploma (Pre-ND) Programme Agricultural Technology Candidates must possess the West African School Certificate or Senior Secondary School Certificate or GCE/ ‘O’ Level or its equivalent with a minimum of 2 credits and 2 passes which must include English and Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science and Chemistry. Furthermore, candidates are expected to sit for and pass the JAMB/PCE examination to enable them proceed for the National Diploma accordingly. General entry requirement for National Diploma(ND) Programme SSCE or WASSCE or GCE ‘O’ level or NECO or NABTEB with at least 5 credits, obtained at not more than two sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects related to you course of study. Candidates should please note that Certificates issued by Standard Association Examination Board (SAEB) are NOT acceptable for admission into the programmes of the Polytechnic. Entry Requirements for Part-time ND LEISURE & TOURISM is as shown below: SSCE or WASCE or GCE O'level or NECO with at least four credits at two sittings, which must include: English Language, Geography, a science subject and any two from the following: Economics, History, Statistics, Mathematics, Food and Nutrition/Home Management, Government and French Language. At least a pass in Mathematics is compulsory C. Mature Candidates Candidates with lower qualifications than the ones stated above, but with at least two relevant credits and two (2) passes could be considered for admission, provided such candidates are not below the age of 40 years and have a minimum of 15 years work experience at a SUPERVISORY LEVEL. Entry Requirements for Farm power and Machinery E. General entry requirements for Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes. Applicants for HND programmes indicated above must: a. Satisfy entry requirements into the relevant National Diploma programmes b. Pass at not below LOWER CREDIT level in the relevant National Diploma programmes, with one year post-industrial work experience. F. Important notice (Applicable to Part-Time and Full-Time Applicants) Candidates applying for HND programmes are expected to submit copies of the following: 1. Industrial attachment discharge letter to the under listed Officers: (i) Full-Time programmes: PAR(Academic Board & Admissions), Ikorodu Campus (ii) Part-Time programmes: PAR(SPTS), Isolo Campus Procedure for Online Applications Applicants are expected to: 1. Pay Using eTranzact at any bank, or use their ATM cards or Cash cards from ANY Bank for payment on the portal. The cards MUST be loaded with the minimum fee required for the application form of the applicant as follows: Full-Time: HND and Pre-ND = N2,600 Part-Time: ND and HND = N3,100 3. Click on the “Continue to Application Form” link below and then click on “Start new application”. 5. Fill the application form provided, ensuring that you provide accurate data at all times. In addition to your personal information and application information, you will be required to provide your WAEC/GCE/NECO result as well as previous educational history. 6. Ensure to print out all receipts such as your Application form fee payment receipt and keep it safely. 7. You will be required to upload a coloured passport photograph of NOT MORE THAN 20kb in size. 8. Submit your application form and Print your completed form. Screening Exercise (A) ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES All candidates who chose Lagos state polytechnic as their institution of First or Second Choice, and scored 120 and above in the 2009/2010 MPCE. (B) GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS (i) JAMB/MPCE Result Notification Slip must be presented at the screening centres. (ii) GSM, Calculators and other electronic devices are not allowed. (iii) Parents, Guardians and other unauthorized personnel within and outside the Polytechnic will not be allowed at the screening centres during the Post- MPCE Screening Exercise. (C) PROCEDURE FOR POST MPCE SCREENING EXERCISE 1. Candidates are expected to make a payment of N 2,300.00 (Two Thousand Three Hundred Naira) to eTranzact or by using ATM/Cash Card at any bank. *NOTE that these charges are exclusive of Bank transaction charges. 2. Upon making full payment, candidates are given a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for purchase of post MPCE form on-line. 3. . Candidates are advised to visit the new Lagos State polytechnic website i.e www.laspotech.net and follow the steps below to make payment on-line and print out the screening slip. (i) Click on the “2009/2010 Admission” link at the left hand corner. (ii) Click on “proceed to Application form” (iii) Click on “start new Application” (iv) Select type of Programme i.e Post-MPCE (v) Thereafter, complete the “Basic Data Form”, Ensure that all items marked (*) are completed (vi) Next, click on “continue” (vii)Select the means of payment applicable i.e eTranzact or interswitch 4. 5. You will equally be required and prompted to upload a colour passport photograph of NOT MORE THAN 20kb in size. 6. Read and accept the attestation, cross-check your entries on the application form, if okay click “submit application form”. 7. Print out your application form. You will be required to present this at a later date, so keep it safely. 8. Post MPCE Candidates will be required to schedule online for their Post MPCE Test at the end of the application form. You MUST do this to complete your registration! The procedure on the Test Scheduling Portal is as follows: · Read the general instructions on the page and click on continue · Create an account using your email and any password of your choice · Login with this email and password · Select your institution of choice (Laspotech) and follow the instructions · Click the link to go to the Test Scheduling Portal PRACTICE TEST: in order to be familiar with the use of computer for the computer based test, click on the following link: Sample Post MPCE Practice Test and follow subsequent instructions.
